Cleaning and treatment of terracotta floor in solarium with mold problems in several areas

In this work we find a fairly large solarium with a reddish-hued terracotta floor that had never been treated before and which had normally been cleaned using a pressurized water machine.

Needless to say, we reiterate our recommendation to avoid at all costs the use of this type of pressurized water machines for cleaning terracotta floors, as they can deteriorate the surface of the slab, until it turns into dust.

Returning to this work, the main problem that had the terracotta floor was the areas where it had embedded mold.

After performing the process of elimination of moldy areas and cleaning the rest of the terracotta floor of the solarium, we wait a few days for the soil to dry completely, to return and apply protective treatment for outdoor terracotta floors.

In this case the client chose the wet effect finish that enhances the natural coloring of the terracotta slab intensifying its color.
