Materiales Artesanales : Stone & Terracota

In this work we find a terracotta floor of clear tonality that had just been placed after the reform of a single-family house in Los Monteros (Marbella). After having a meeting with the client, she told us that she liked the finished leather effect treatment that, although it changes the natural tone of the clay tile, is the one that convinced her the most. In this way after showing some examples of similar work done we confirmed the work and the type of leather effect finish. Work of recovery of external terracotta floor with mold and verdigris . The procedure that has been followed has been of a first phase of elimination of mold and verdigris, a second of rinsing and cleaning. Later, after waiting for 4 days of drying, we proceeded to the third phase of application of treatment for exterior terracotta floors with a wet effect finish that intensifies the natural coloring of the clay. Below we provide some photos of the entire process from its initial state, to the final finish obtained.
