MARBLE FOUNTAINS IN MUDEJAR ART

Image
Mudejar architecture is an artistic style that is developed in the Iberian Peninsula, but that includes both Muslim and Christian influences of the period It is a style motivated by the coexistence of medieval Hispania and is a phenomenon exclusively in the Iberian Peninsula that develops between the twelfth and sixteenth centuries, as a union of the Christian artistic currents (Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance) and Muslim. It is not a unique artistic architecture, but it has peculiar characteristics in each region, among which stand out the Mudéjar of Toledo, León, Aragón and Andalusia. Within the Mudejar art, it is necessary to indicate the figure of the sources of marble they had in the architecture of the time. The types of the marble fountains contemplated from flat at ground level, to many more complex models with sizes. It is necessary to emphasize the plates of fountains with gallons and with form of tiles and the pylons of sources in the form of stars, very typical ...

FOUNTAIN IN POLISHED MARBLE BLACK MARBLE

Image
From the details provided by the client we proceeded to the manufacture of a low fountain at ground level in Marquina black marble and polished finish. The measurements of the marble fountain were: Diameter of the plate: 80 cm Total height including small base: 20 cm Just at the base of the fountain, a hole was made in the same piece that was hidden with a cover of the same marble, where the engine went to complete a closed water circuit. Here we leave several photos of the entire manufacturing process :

CUSTOM MANUFACTURING WALL FOUNTAIN

Image
From a sketch, we proceeded to manufacture a completely custom-made limestone wall fountain . The fountain was composed of a simple pilon with some details of molding and the front of the fountain was with two small columns on the sides and a carving detail in the shape of a flower just where the tap of the fountain would go. A hidden motor was also added so that the source had a closed water circuit system. Here you have pictures of the entire manufacturing process:

FOUNTAIN OF CENTER IN MARBLE BLACK MACAEL

Made-to-measure production of a macael white marble fountain plate, in a honed (matte) finish, measuring 90 cm in diameter and 30 cm in depth. This source was made from the details provided by the client through the reference photo that he provided, and although at the beginning we requested the quote in the travertino material olivillo, he finally opted for the ivory cream finish, since he wanted a less porous material and more density. Here are some photos of the manufacturing process of the source :

MANUFACTURE MEASURED FROM CENTRAL SOURCE IN MARBLE BLANCO MACAEL FROM PREVIOUS MODEL

Image
On this occasion we manufacture a low center fountain from a model that we had already manufactured before. The main difference lay in the measures requested by the customer and an aspect that affected the final aspect of the source, which was that we were requested that the source incorporated the closed circuit water engine, on the same plate. To hide the engine the only place where we could introduce it was in the jumper (spout) of the source. This meant that we had to make a jumper somewhat larger than that proportionally would have been made according to measures of the plate requested by the customer. The engine was embedded inside the jumper hidden under a lid of the same marble . Here we provide you the model of the original source in which the client requested us their source to measure, and photos of the manufacturing process and final result obtained:
