WORK OF RECOVERY OF HALL COVERED WITH HANDMADE TERRACOTTA FLOOR

On this occasion we find a patio inside a detached house with a terracotta floor and glazed tile studs, where the terracotta tiles were stained with mold and verdigris especially in the darkest areas.

Also climbing a step there was a perimeter of covered area around the patio, whose main problem was the wear that had suffered the previous treatment; and even the client had changed some very deteriorated tiles for completely new ones.

These are some photos of the initial state prior to beginning the work :

The work process consisted in the first place to eradicate the problem of mold and verdigris of the patio area and to the pickling of the covered area to eliminate the remains of the old deteriorated treatment.

Once the mold and verdin of the patio have been eliminated; and the old treatment of the covered area we proceeded to the cleaning and rinsing of the terracotta floor to leave it ready to dry and then apply protective treatment.

State after cleaning phase :

After a week we returned to proceed to apply protective treatment for exterior terracotta floors, this time and following the client's instructions, with a wet effect finish that enhances the natural coloring of the terracotta tiles.

Final result obtained after application of protective treatment :
