CLEANING AND TREATMENT OF TERRACOTTA FLOOR IN MADRID

On this occasion we find a house in Madrid of about 100 m2 of terracotta floors distributed in several rooms.

The floor was not new, so we had to proceed in the first place to a pickling process, to eliminate any remaining old treatment and also be able to descale the deeper and adhered stains.

Once we had the entire surface cleaned, we had to wait 2 weeks until the soil completely dried up, as we got rainy days and the soil evaporated all the moisture and dried completely.

Once verified that the floor had dried, we proceeded to the application of interior treatment with gloss finish finishing following the specifications of the client.

TERRACOTTA FLOOR RECOVERY OF EXTERIOR WITH LINAZA OIL TREATMENT

In this work we had to proceed with the elimination of previous treatments . In this case he had been repeatedly given hands of flaxseed oil, which had made every time the floor that is a clear tone was getting darker and darker with the appearance of dirt. The client had tried on his own to lift this flaxseed oil treatment using pickling products that he had purchased on his own and using first pressurized water machine and then sanding by hand, but without much success. Cleaning and treatment of soil composition inside checkerboard marble and terracotta

In this work we have the added difficulty of a floor inside checkerboard composed of aged cream marble and semi-manual terracotta floor . We speak of added difficulty; as the combination of marble and mud is not very common and it is often problematic, since the cleaning products used for mud have an acid component brightness eats polished marble. Fortunately this marble floor was old and honed (dull), so this facilitated the work; although we had a special care when using cleaning products in right proportions to avoid damaging the marble at all. The floor had stains embedded especially in the mud of semi-manual. Therefore the procedure was to make a first cleaning phase , as we said with proportions of very poor cleaning products to protect the marble.
